Support your plants with Coco Chip Mulch from Coco & Coir, suitable for organic growing. Their peat-free, 100% natural coir husk chips help retain soil moisture and reduce weed growth. The texture is also a great deterrent for slugs and snails. Over time, the coir breaks down into the soil, boosting porosity and structure.
To use:
• Pop your compressed Coco Chip brick in a container.
• Add 18- 20L warm water (cold is fine, but requires additional wait time).
• Let sit until the water is absorbed (approx 20 mins).
• Fluff up the compost until there is plenty of air in the mix and any clumps have been fully broken up.
• Start mulching.
Top tips to speed up expansion:
• Slowly pour the water directly onto the centre of the block, so water is absorbed from the centre outwards.
• Ensure the block is fully submerged in the water, rather than sat on top.
