Bring big, bold flavours to your dishes with our sharp and spicy organic Black Radishes. They’re grown by our trusted farmer, James Foskett, in organic fields that are totally free of artificial chemicals. In fact, James welcomes the rich diversity of local wildlife for their help dealing with pest and weed control. As a result, his radish crop has a generous, all-natural taste. Black radishes have an edible, earthy, peppery peel but you can remove this if you’re after a milder flavour, revealing the crunchy white flesh inside. You can treat black radishes much like horseradish, enjoying them raw and cooked. Just thinly slice them and scatter into salads, shred them for a handy taco topping or roast and mash them with cheese and sour cream. If you're looking for a hot, fiery flavour to add to your dishes, James’ black radishes will be the perfect pick. By choosing organic black radishes, you’ll be supporting farmers who naturally enhance the health of their soil through sustainable practices and work to encourage biodiversity on their land. We’ll deliver your organic black radishes sustainably to your door, with as little packaging and as few food miles as possible. For anything that’s sourced from further afield, we have a zero air freight promise in place.

Producer

Our radishes are from the Foskett's Farm. They've been farming at Low Farm in Suffolk since 1955, and organic since 2009. James looks after the farm now, with his wife Belinda, and their Labrador, Dizzy. James is as green minded as he is green fingered – he installed solar panels on the farm last year and encourages wildlife throughout the farm (kingfishers, barn owls, oyster catchers and water voles are some of the more unusual animals he’s spotted.

Storage & prep

Black radish tastes great simply peeled and finely sliced with some sea salt on top. Don't forget to wash your fruit and veg before use.

Organic tastes better
We reckon slow grown food that’s allowed to go at its own pace tastes the best. Don’t just take our word for it.
"The vegetables are all really fresh, keep longer than supermarket and have so much more flavour."
