Keep it on your kitchen windowsill or in a dry, sunny spot in the garden. Water when the soil feels dry or plant out in the garden, water in well and leave it to do its thing.

Storage & prep

Open straight away and water well. Rosemary likes a sunny windowsill or sunny bed outside, it is a perennial herb and will survive the winter in a sheltered position. Your plant will arrive in a biodegradable wood-pulp pot, you can keep it inside this pot for a little while but it will start to break down once you've watered it a few times. You can either pot it on inside the pot, give it a good soak first and it will slowly break down allowing the roots to grow outwards. Or you can tip it out of the pot to pot it on and compost or reuse the wood-pulp pot.
