Our organic watermelon radishes have a Cinderella-style reveal when you cut into these brassica beauties. Beneath their unassuming, white-green skins, you’ll discover a vivid, pink interior, which helped earn their association with the classic watermelon. In truth, these are an heirloom variety of daikon radish and carry a sweet, peppery taste that can really liven up a salad. Simply slice and serve up raw to keep their vibrant colour alive, but they’ll taste great roasted or pickled too.

During the UK season we get these radish from the Foskett's Farm. They've been farming at Low Farm in Suffolk since 1955, and organic since 2009. James looks after the farm now, with his wife Belinda, and their Labrador, Dizzy. James is as green minded as he is green fingered – he installed solar panels on the farm last year and encourages wildlife throughout the farm (kingfishers, barn owls, oyster catchers and water voles are some of the more unusual animals he’s spotted
