Zingy Green Grapefruit Smoothie

A gorgeous, green eye-opener of a smoothie bursting with three types of citrus, hydrating cucumber and good-for-you spinach that'll get you rising and shining and ready to take on the day.

Ingredients

  • 1 grapefruit
  • 1 lime
  • 2 blood oranges
  • 1 cucumber
  • 100g baby leaf spinach

Method

1. Slice the skin and white pith off the grapefruit and lime. Roughly chop the flesh. Finely grate the zest from the oranges, then slice the skin and white pith off from those, too. Roughly chop the flesh. Roughly chop the cucumber.
2. Place everything in a blender with the baby leaf spinach. Add a large cupful of ice and whizz. Trickle in some water to thin the smoothie, if you want to. Then pour into bowls or glasses and serve.
