Iced Banana & Coffee Frappé

Frozen bananas add fantastic flavour and texture to this iced coffee frappé. Great for a weekend breakfast or as an afternoon pick-me-up.

Ingredients

  • A mug of freshly brewed coffee
  • 3 frozen bananas, sliced
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 6 crushed cardamom pods (optional)
  • 1 vanilla pod (optional)
  • A mug of almond or coconut drink

Prep: 10 mins + freezing | Cook: nil
Remember to put your bananas in the freezer at least 6 hours before you begin.

Method

1. Peel and chop your bananas. Pop them in the freezer till solid (overnight is perfect). Brew your coffee and let it cool.
2. Pour your cold coffee into a blender and add the frozen bananas, cinnamon and cardamom or vanilla, if you're using them. Pour in your choice of almond or coconut drink. Blend till smooth.
3. Fill two tall glasses with ice and pour over the frappé. Serve straight away.
