Producer

Domingo and Manuel established Hortifervisa in 2013. They grow a range of fruit and veg for us close to the Cabo de Gata national park in Almeria, Spain. Domingo and Manuel grow lots of our peppers, aubergine and courgettes for us through the winter months, and their speciality watermelons during the summer.

Ingredients & allergens

Abel & Cole handles celery, celeriac, peanuts and nuts on site. Due to our packing process and re-use of boxes there is a risk of cross-contamination from these, and all other allergens.

Storage & prep

Using a large knife (and keeping little hands out of the way!) slice the melon in half, lengthways. Then cut into wedges and enjoy the melon straight from the skin, or cut into chunks and add to salads. Melon should be kept in a cool, dry place. Once you've cut it open, cover it over and keep in the fridge. If you're looking for something a bit different, try popping it on the griddle to sear then serve sprinkled with salt.
