Enjoy the freshest Thai basil for your stir-fries, noodle soups and Pad Thai. The perfect addition to any window ledge plant collection or outdoor herb garden. Thai basil has a delicious anise fragrance with deep notes of licorice and spice.

Keep in a warm, sunny spot (outdoors is fine if the weather is nice) and harvest regularly to encourage new growth. Your basil will arrive green and may develop a purple colour over time as the plant matures. This does not affect the taste or scent of the basil.

Steven and Louis grow organic potted herbs near Duffel in Belgium. Each pot is carefully grown and tended to using rainwater irrigation and organic compost. The pots are kerbside recyclable in the UK, or can be reused at home.

Storage & prep

Open straight away and water well. Grow on somewhere warm and sunny. Your plant will arrive in a recyclable plastic pot. You can either keep the plant inside the pot, or you can tip it out of the pot to replant in a different container. Basil is an annual plant and is not frost hardy.
