‘Joven’, meaning ‘young’, is the lightest, juiciest style of Rioja; made without oak ageing to maintain the pure fruit flavours and show the classic strawberry and raspberry aromas of Tempranillo. On the palate there’s real liveliness from the clean, ripe fruit. A great match for Manchego cheese and Serrano ham. Best enjoyed young while the fruit is at its brightest.
