Acadian Maple Products really started by chance, and a bit of a sense of adventure. Brian Allaway tapped a few dozen trees in his backyard (weren't we all so lucky!) so he could treat his family to some sweet syrup. The kiddies, Cara and William, helped collecting the sap and wife Simonne helped make sure the fire was licking so it could boil. In one of the early years the Allaway family managed to make so much syrup that a local shop decided to buy the excess, and after it flew off the shelves, they asked for more, and the rest is history, as they say. It began as a real family affair, and it's still one today, with William leading the business into the future.
