Especially hardy and perfect for growing in winter, plant these Vital Seeds organic Matador Spinach Seeds now, ready for when your next roast dinner hits the table. With large, savoyed, pointy leaves, giant spinach is ideal in salads and just as delicious when sautéed, steamed or creamed. You’ll love the dark green colour these leaves bring your plate, and the rich flavour, too.
Sow these seeds in July (and up until the end of September) so, by the time Autumn or Winter comes around, they’ll be producing leaves that’ll be ideal for harvesting.
Spacing: 30 x 15cm. Sow in drills that are 30cm apart, and thin to 15cm between plants. Or you can sow in modules and transplant to their final spacing.
