Brighten up dishes and drinks this summer with homegrown and organic, edible flowers, using our Plug Plants for Edible Flowers collection from Organic Blooms. Every kit contains eight wonderful varieties for you to grow and harvest, including calendula, chamomile, fennel, viola, borage, nasturtium, chive, cornflower, hyssop and tagetes.
For best results, grow your plants in a sheltered, sunny spot and keep them protected from any contamination from animals or pollution. Always rinse them gently with water before use and check for any pests hiding within the flowers.
To help your plants grow to the best of their potential:
Remove the plug plants from their box and give them a good drink. Pot them up into 9cm pots using good quality, peat-free potting compost, and grow them on for a few weeks before planting in their final position.
