Dunkertons
Ivor and Susie Dunkerton started producing delicious cider in 1979. Nine years later they became the first cider makers in Herefordshire to convert to organic methods. They grow old varieties of cider apples, such as Sweet Coppin, Dabinett, Stoke Red and Foxwhelp. After pressing the apples, they ferment and store the juices separately for one year before blending them together. The blending process is a lengthy one, which requires immense skill to keep the cider in peak condition.
