Rabbie's Blood Orange Dram

Blood oranges are the citrus stars of the moment, and we've blitzed them with creamy bananas, sticky-sweet dates and grassy baby leaf spinach to make a smoothie so delicious it's practically poetry in a glass.

Ingredients you'll need
- 3 blood oranges
- 2 bananas
- 50g dried dates
- 50g baby leaf spinach
- 330ml oat drink

- A few ice cubes
You'll need
- Blender
- Measuring jug
Step by step this way
- 1.
Finely grate the zest from 1 blood orange into your blender, keeping a pinch of zest back for garnishing. Halve all 3 blood oranges and squeeze in the juice.

Peel and break in the bananas. Roughly chop the dried dates and add them to the blender. Tuck in the baby leaf spinach.
- 3.
Pour in 330ml of the oat drink (save the rest for this week’s other smoothies). Drop in a few ice cubes and whizz till smooth. Pour into 2 glasses, top with the reserved range zest and serve.
