Storage & prep

Rope Grown Mussels, Sustainably Farmed (1kg):

Storage:
Keep refrigerated between 0°C and 8°C. Not suitable for home freezing

Preparation:
Remove mussels from packaging and rinse under cold water. Discard any open mussels that do not close when tapped

Cooking Method:
Steaming: Heat a large pan or pot over medium-high heat. Add 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil or butter, and sauté garlic or onions until fragrant. Add the mussels to the pot and pour in 100ml of white wine or water. Cover the pot with a lid and let the mussels steam for 5-7 minutes, shaking the pot occasionally until all mussels have opened. Discard any mussels that do not open after cooking.

Storage:
Keep refrigerated, once opened, consume within 48 hours. Previously frozen. Not suitable for home freezing

Preparation:
Heat sauce in a sauce pan on a medium heat. Cook for 3-4 mins while mixing through with a wooden spoon until hot.
