Steve Benbow used to be a photojournalist, and during his time behind the camera he snapped some then-illegal rooftop beekeepers in New York. Wanting to introduce his rural Shropshire roots into his city life back in London, he took some inspiration from his one-time photo subjects in New York and installed honeybees on his roof in Tower Bridge in 1999. And so The London Honey Company was born. Fast forward some years and you can now find their bees on the rooftops of some of London's most iconic buildings, including the Tate, Fortnum & Mason and the Victoria & Albert Museum, bringing natural food back to the heart of the city.
100% honey.
