A funny thing is happening at Veg HQ. Pitchers of water infused with fresh organic fruit, fragrant herbs and raw veg sit at the end of every table. We thought this was a new take on flower arranging. It’s actually drinkable art.
Sipping pretty
Staying hydrated (especially in warmer months) and keeping it fun can be tricky. Skip the artificial infusions and make your own, we’ll show you how.
Pick all your fresh stuff. Things we’ve tried hand in hand: mint and lime, ginger and lemon grass, cucumber and mint, grapefruit and rosemary, orange and strawberry and lemon, cucumber and ginger. Bung it all into a jug of water. Give it a good stir. Leave overnight in the fridge. You’re done. Our Harriet tells us why she infuses:
“For me, drinking plenty of water is the very best thing I can do for my body, so why not make it fun to drink more? Popping some sweet fruit like strawberries, grapefruits, limes and oranges do wonders to curb my sugar cravings throughout the day. Cucumber, mint and lemon is really soothing and helps digestion (great for an after lunch slump). My skin glows, my kidneys are happy and I have the coolest water in the room! What’s not to love?”

Here's some of Harriet's sip tips: Peel citrus fruits from their skin to avoid a bitter taste. Pop a few extra frozen berries/fruit in before you drink to keep your infusion extra cool in the heat. No fruit to hand? Lemon, lime and orange peel will still give fabulous flavour.
