You’ll need
An orange or two • A pen A star stencil • A sharp knife• Some box string
Are you a young ‘un? You’ll also need:
An adult (for their supervision and knife skills)
Step 1
Create a star stencil from an old cereal packet. Hold your stencil on the orange and draw around it, onto your peel.
Step 2
Carefully cut around the lines and peel one side outside of the cuts.
Step 3
Slowly peel the star off the orange. Repeat the process till you have a few stars – make sure there’s an even number.
Step 4
Leave them in a warm, dry place so they shrink and dry hard.
Step 5
Lay a dried star pith-side up. Put a splodge of glue in the middle and lay your box string over the top.
Step 6
Add another splodge of glue and stick another star over it, at an angle.
Step 7
Repeat till you have a garland full. Let the glue dry and hang it on your tree, over picture frames or wherever you like.
