Pa, papa, father, daddy, dad, there’s no better time to celebrate their brilliance than a national day for just such an occasion. We’ve huddled our veg heads together to make this little guide to spoiling that father figure in your life.
Father's Day Gift Guide
Let’s start with the cliché (no, not socks), beer. An organic 12 pack. From punchy IPAs from Little Valley Brewery to light pale ale from Hepworth Brewery, this set's got a bottle for everyone. They're some of our favourites, the Yellowhammer IPA from Black Isle has even been named the Champion Beer of Scotland.
Beer & Cheese Father's Day Gift Box
This little box of heaven brings together the best things in life to really show him how much you care. Taking centre-stage is the Little Valley Brewery’s light and hoppy Withen’s Pale Ale. It’s a refreshingly spiced, zesty little number that’ll perfectly complement Godminster’s hearty, Oak Smoked Vintage Cheddar. “What’s cheese without crackers and chutney” we hear you cry? Well, we’ve got you covered there too, with our very own Real Ale Chutney and the Authentic Bread Company’s moreish Beetroot & Rosemary Savoury Biscuits rounding off the set beautifully.
Some dads like flowers, too, and why not – these are bloomin’ wonderful. Organic Blooms are one of the very first flower growers to be certified organic. Coming fresh from the field, where they’re grown without any artificial chemicals, much of each bunch is made up of ‘cut and come again’ annuals, perennials and shrubs, so that the flowers can grow over and over. It’s a wonderfully natural and sustainable way to do things.
A lie in
Some of the best things in life are free, so give dad the morning off. Cook breakfast, make coffee and allow the snooze button to be engaged liberally.
Cheese club
Say it with cheese. For the dairy devotee dad in your life, look no further than our monthly Cheese Club. With the help of our expert buyer, Ilyas, dad will discover more about each cheese, where they come from and how best to enjoy them. Cheeseboards at the ready!
For the wine connoisseur captain, we’d be remiss not to suggest our Wine Club. Similar to our Cheese Club (with one obvious difference) this is a trio of themed organic tipples. Our wine guru Honey Spencer provides in-depth tasting notes to help separate the tannins from the bouquets.
